Lately, the release of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 has gotten all the attention. Wondering what other options are out there for those of us who don't have the latest gaming console? While some of these games might not only be available on a PC, they’re fun games/platforms you can enjoy without breaking the bank. Let's get into the list.
#1: Roblox
Roblox is a platform that has existed since it’s beta in 2004, and it has millions or even billions of games on it, including gameplay options like Phantom Forces (a team game), Adopt Me (a roleplaying game), Royale High (another roleplaying game), Welcome to Bloxburg, Reason 2 Die (a zombie game), and much more. You can find any type of game on Roblox, and you can also make your own games with blocks you can summon out of thin air and with Roblox’s very own code language, Lua. You can play with your friends and meet new people with Roblox’s chat system.
#2: Among Us
Among Us is a mafia-type game where there are 1-3 impostors who are trying to kill all the crewmates (the innocent) while the crewmates are trying to finish their tasks and/or vote off the impostor(s).
Although the imposters try to kill the crewmates, the game is considered appropriate for children and teens. In the game, the impostors can sabotage lights, the reactor core, and the oxygen levels. There can only be one sabotage at a time. The lights sabotage is the worst of the three if you don't know how to use it. To use it correctly, you just have to do it after killing a crewmate, so that it’ll be harder to
find the body. The other two sabotages are simple. The crewmates have to hold their hands on a reactor pad and there have to be two crewmates that have their hands on each pad within 25 seconds. The oxygen sabotage is just when the crewmates have to insert random codes in two places in 25 seconds. For the timed sabotages (O2 and reactor), after those 25 seconds pass without the crewmates fixing the sabotage, the impostors will win and the crewmates will lose. The impostors can also "vent" (travel) to places around the map.
There are currently three maps in Among Us. The Skeld is the first map, and on April Fool's Day, the map structure is reversed and the map is called “ehT dlekS.” The second map is Mira HQ (based in the sky), and the third is Polus (based on a cold planet). For a game that was made a few years ago, it has a gigantic community of players.
#3: Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash is a game where you’re a cube (or a triangle, ball, cube in a ship, or even a robot) and are trying to reach the end of levels you can play. With practically an infinite amount of levels from the community, you can expect it’ll keep you entertained for hours. There have been many YouTubers that either have gotten famous because of Geometry Dash or just decided to play it because of its popularity. While the name might be misleading, Geometry Dash is NOT a game that teaches you Geometry. The game was originally created in 2013 by Robert Topala. Robert now goes by the name “RobTop,” and sometimes “RubRub.” Getting the full game would only cost $2, but if you don’t want to pay, there are more versions of the game that are also by RobTop: Geometry Dash World, Geometry Dash Lite, Geometry Dash Meltdown, and Geometry Dash Subzero.
Which of all these games do you think is better? Although they might not stack up against the more expensive gaming consoles, they are widely popular and fun to play. It all comes down to your personal preference.
These are mobile games. There is way more to PC than roblox.
While I do like this article, I think that this article was made only thinking about the creator's favorite games, since Geo Dash is commonly played on mobile, and is a completely single player game, with barely any community.
I personally would've put the games that are currently most popular on gaming platforms like Steam, and streaming platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
Not a bad article however, I disagree with Geometry Dash. It barely has a community, if one at all, and it hasn't received any updates in the past few years. I will also mention that this is a MOBILE game.
I'd also like to point out that Lua is not ROBLOX's official coding language, infact ROBLOX doesn't even have the right to Lua. Lua was created in 1993 by Roberto Ierusalimschy, Luiz Henrique de Figueiredo, and Waldemar Celes, ROBLOX took Lua and edited it to create R-Lua. It is quite advanced if I say so myself.
How id geoyamatry dash a top PC game????????
