FNAF: The Story of Everyone’s Favorite Mascot Horror, by Parker P.

Chances are, you’ve heard of the popular horror franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF for short). It is no doubt one of the most popular horror franchises, and probably one of the most beloved. To the surprise of many, Five Nights at Freddy’s wasn’t started by a big game development company. It was started by a single game developer, Scott Cawthon.

On August 8th, 2014, Scott released a horror game called Five Nights at Freddy’s. This game was just a simple project trying to earn some money for his family, while also showing of his game development skills. Little did he know, this game would earn him more than “some money.”

The story followed a night guard working from 12 to 6AM in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, trying to fend off a group of animatronics. You may have limited resources, but the one think you do have, is doors. The catch? The doors waste power, and you need power to survive through the night. Many people adored this game, taking on a new level of stress, and scares.

The game became so popular, within 7 months, it had gotten 2 sequels. Both games following the same premise, but with a twist. Fast forward to today, and the franchise is still going strong, with over 10 sequels, with no end in sight.
