Today I interviewed Ms. Hung, who is a JW math teacher who teaches in room A101.

Where did you go to college?
“I went to the University of Maryland, College Park.”
Where did you work before?
“I worked at North Bethesda Middle School.”
Why did you decide to become a teacher?
“I became a teacher because I like working with kids and I tutored growing up, I enjoyed those experiences working with people. I also had some great teachers growing up who had a positive influence on me.”
Why math?
“Math was my favorite subject when I was in school and my math teachers were my favorite teachers.”
Why did you come to Julius West?
“I came to JW because I heard good things about this school and it’s close to where I live.”
What do you like best about our school?
“I like the staff members, they're very supportive and eager to help.”
What’s your favorite color? Why?
“My favorite color is lavender purple. I like pastel colors and I also like the lavender plant, I really like how it smells.”
Is cereal a soup?
“Yes, it is.”
What’s your favorite animal?
“I don’t know if I have a favorite animal but I like the baby ones because they are tiny and cute.”
What’s your favorite subject, other than math?
“My favorite subject probably would be art or PE.”
What did you eat for lunch today?
“I had blueberries, like a nut bread, and chicken veggie stir-fry.”
What time do you wake up in the morning to get ready for the school day?
“5:45 am”
Do you like insects? If yes, which one is your favorite?
“I do not like insects. The only one I would like is a butterfly.”
Where are you from?
“I was born in California, then I moved to Oregon, and then I moved to Rockville, Maryland. I spent most of my life here.”
Do you play an instrument?
“I do not play an instrument. I grew up playing piano and flute but now I don’t play any instruments. I didn’t really like them, maybe because my parents made me play them and it wasn’t my choice.”
What do you like to eat for snacking?
“I like fruit, nuts, any type of pastry item, and dark chocolate.”
